With the Download Manager in WindowsXP...how do i change the download location?

I would like to set it to where it asks me everytime as to where i want something downloaded.With the Download Manager in WindowsXP...how do i change the download location?
You create a folder in your desktop for example my is Varius

then all the time and the beginning you change the path by default it will go to a TMP folder.

You only has to do one or 2 times and the download manager learn and the good thing about this is that your programs are intact in that folder that mean that after you running them from that folder they install their self but you keep the original in Varius folders and them you can copy and transport to wherever you pleased or save a group for later installation in case you PC crash and you have to reformat you have your programs and CDs or another media ready to install.
