On the start icon go to search and type in the name of the file, you should be able to find it that way!
Start - search- all files and folders
open any attachment from your email without saving it. click on save as. there you should see the other file. move it or copy it to a different folder. hope this helps!
Do you know the name of the file?

Just run a search for the file and you should find it easily.

Did you save it recently but don't know the name of the file?

Go into Microsoft words and go to OPEN. On one side it will say RECENT documents. It should be in there.
Click Start at bottom left...

Click Search

in ';files and folders'; box, type what it is you are looking for.

Hit enter.

Good Luck.
it is now lost forever in cyber space
If you remember the files name - you can do a search of all files and folders - in the search option found in the start menu - or control panel
download it once more
use the search function in windows. Go into search (in start up menu) and click on find files and folders. Type in the name of your file, and wham bam....your welcome :)
try to serch it
if you know the name of the file you can go under start then search and then type the name of the file in the search field then it should find the copy you saved. Good luck
Have you tried doing a search for the file name on the computer?
Go to your Start, then to Search and type the title of the file... on results, check the titles that will appear one by one if the file you have been looking for is there.
What is your operating system? XP has this icon for ';my recent documents'; -- go to word (assuming that it was in Word), click Open, select My Recent Documents. Start by looking there. Is it there? Do you know the name that you named it when you saved? You can do a Document Find, and search the entire C drive... Good luck.
go to run and then put in %temp% you may find it there.
