Probably your internet explorer or download manager is corrupt
The key to successful downloads and sign-ins is a squeaky clean browser download ccleaner (free ) and run it through a couple of times - include 'registry' from the left hand toolbar uninstall all existing yahoo messenger software from your pc as these can cause conflicts
delete shortcut on desktop
download new browser - mozilla firefox (free)
download new download manager - downthemall ( free )
restart computer
download messenger and install with firefox
