The default location downloaded in Firefox is in Downloads in 'My Documents' (I assume you are using Windows).



To change the location you need to go to 'Tools' in menu bar then 'Options', then 'General' and change the location in 'Save Files to'.



If you select the next option 'Always ask me where to save files', then Firefox asks you the download location every time.
