How to I change were iPod Apps are stored in iTunes?

My computer only has 2 GB left on its hard drive, but I have an external hard drive that's 320 GB. However, iTunes keeps adding the Apps I download to the computer's hard drive. I found in preferences an option to change the Media FIle location, but it only transfers one [empty] folder tiltled ';Automatically Add to iTunes';. I just started using iTunes this week and I forgot it saves the apps to the hard drive.



P.S. When I try actually copying and pasting and re-enter iTunes, it acts like there is no library because it dosent know were its files are,How to I change were iPod Apps are stored in iTunes?
Apps are virtual nothings in terms of file size. You need to get serious about deleting other larger file types in significant numbers, such as video and music. Back them up first. Learn more in your user guide, iTunes Help, FAQs, Tutorials and user forums.
